Charleston

Charleston holds a special place in our family's story. For over a decade, we've spent the Fourth of July the same way — gathered on the Isle of Palms, watching fireworks and joining the fun of the parade. But the city's pull goes deeper than tradition. Our daughter Carter and her husband Scott both found their way to the College of Charleston, where they first crossed paths years ago — went their separate ways after graduation, as life tends to do — then found each other again. It's hard to separate Charleston from that story, or from the countless other memories woven into its cobblestone streets, its restaurants, and the warm, unhurried rhythm of the Lowcountry. This is a place we keep coming back to, and these are the spots that have made it feel like home.
